Ending homelessness was not on Heron's platform

Ending homelessness was not on Heron's platform

Re: 'Mayor on a Mission to End Homelessness' (Gazette, Nov. 4): Along with our adult children, we supported Cathy Heron in the recent civic election. During the election there was no mention of ending homelessness in Cathy Heron’s platform.
Respect plebiscite decision on the library

Respect plebiscite decision on the library

I am writing this letter in response to the article in (Gazette, Nov. 8) "Motions to stop library planning fail." I could not believe just how much disrespect the new council has shown for the wishes of the people of St. Albert.
Mayor and council not respecting the will of the people

Mayor and council not respecting the will of the people

St. Albert city council has defeated motions that would have rescinded the city’s branch library borrowing bylaw and ceased further planning to build and construct the project.

Insulting for Christmas market to happen before Nov. 11

Insulting for Christmas market to happen before Nov. 11

I saw the sign advertising the Christmas Market on my way home from work Nov. 1. I was shocked to see the date of the event, Nov. 4. It is insulting to see Christmas decorations and treats being sold and displayed before Remembrance Day.
