Re: 'Mayor on a Mission to End Homelessness' (Gazette, Nov. 4): Along with our adult children, we supported Cathy Heron in the recent civic election. During the election there was no mention of ending homelessness in Cathy Heron’s platform. As a community we need to be very careful with this issue. We need look no further than the McCauley area in Edmonton. When you take on this issue, this is what comes with it: more policing costs, street people, prostitution, drugs, panhandling. In other words, watch what you wish for; it might happen. We left Edmonton to get away from this and have been so pleased with our time in St. Albert.
