Common sense should have prevailed in Coopers' case

Common sense should have prevailed in Coopers' case

I was appalled when I read that the St. Albert RCMP fined Dr. Jon Cooper for clearing snow with his quad. Our city has always been known for having caring citizens, our volunteers and Good Samaritans.

RCMP has a long way to go to win back public trust

There once was a time I greatly admired the RCMP, but those days sadly are long gone.

It sounds as if the responding officers could have perhaps handled the situation a little better. Perhaps by helping the Good Samaritans rather than fining them and impounding their ATV we could have had a different outcome.

Neighbours' help worthy of mention

They say you can't choose your neighbours and that probably benefits myself and my wife who are senior citizens and tend to keep to ourselves. In addition, I am not supposed to shovel snow because of a chronic back problem.
