Bylaw needs to be more flexible

It sounds as if the responding officers could have perhaps handled the situation a little better. Perhaps by helping the Good Samaritans rather than fining them and impounding their ATV we could have had a different outcome.

Perhaps by helping the Good Samaritans rather than fining them and impounding their ATV we could have had a different outcome. Instead someone doing a good deed gets hit with hundreds of dollars in fines and a local doctor gets arrested.

We live in Alberta. This means we know there are abnormal conditions from time to time. To prevent citizens from acting in their own community’s best interests when serious conditions prevail is to stop a Canadian from being Canadian. Besides I know many people who have said they would never have got out of their crescents/communities if it wasn't for some guy with a plow on his ATV.

Amend the bylaw to allow snowplow ATVs for 24 hours after a heavy snowfall. I mean who exactly are they going to run over on the sidewalk if there's a foot and a half of snow?
