In the past federal election, a few people I spoke to were concerned about MP Michael Cooper's right-wing views. I wasn't aware that he didn't know about recent history or the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Once again you have proven your generosity to your Community Village and Food Bank. During the food drive that started on Saturday, Sept. 16, we have collected 63,193 pounds of food for our clients.

I recently received a mailout from Michael Cooper, MP, regarding the money paid to Omar Khadr. It was filled with an appalling combination of half-truths, and innuendo.

I don't particularly like politics but when it comes to the upcoming elections, I found it helpful in the past to go the debates armed with a few questions to decide who to vote for regardless if the candidate is a friend or neighbour.

I am writing to bring several matters to the attention of the voting populace of St. Albert. First it appears, anecdotally, that at least six candidates for council and mayor appear to be working together to get elected.

Again I am dismayed at the lack of common sense and deductive reasoning when it comes to supporting fiscal conservative Cam MacKay. Mr Rob Clarke (Gazette, Oct. 4) finds it "not that easy" to synchronize lights on St. Albert Trail.
