Again I am dismayed at the lack of common sense and deductive reasoning when it comes to supporting fiscal conservative Cam MacKay. Mr Rob Clarke (Gazette, Oct. 4) finds it "not that easy" to synchronize lights on St. Albert Trail. Even without today's technology this is indeed an easy task. I have brought this up with our transportation manager Dean Schick only to have him talk for an hour about technical information only to conclude that yes it is possible. It is fair to criticize when incompetence is clearly demonstrated just as Cam MacKay, Sheena Hughes and Bob Russell have demonstrated. It is with hesitation that I continue on this subject as there are more important issues, but none the less the extremely poor synchronization is a symptom of poor oversight and disregard for the citizen. As a resident of St Albert for 25 years I care about my neighbours and fellow citizens who have a busy schedule dropping off kids, picking up groceries, going to and from work, I'm sure they could use the extra time. The point must be made that irrational thinking leads to chaos and failure. As for Cam's 50 point plan if one goes to his website and reads through the plan it would be hard for any rational human being to realize that they are all realistic. Praising councillors like Cathy Heron for forming committees and working cohesively but yet offering limited results is irresponsible at best. As Roger Lemieux states: Cathy conducts herself with class and dignity. As if these traits alone and more committees are of any benefit to the taxpayer, how about lower taxes and a more level-headed thinking. Marc Racine, St. Albert
