Editor, On April 5, 2025 I went by Saint City Taxi with my walker to the Dollarama store in St. Albert. The lady clerk rang up all my purchases and packed them all carefully into my shopping bag.

St. Albertans wanted a say in the renaming of not just a street, but three streets, three city parks and facilities, and an entire neighbourhood. This is a significant decision with permanent consequences.

This whole issue has been handled so badly by council. Instead of handling it democratically the city has chosen once again to act like a dictatorship. Residents of Grandin should have been polled on the name change.
