On April 5, 2025 I went by Saint City Taxi with my walker to the Dollarama store in St. Albert. The lady clerk rang up all my purchases and packed them all carefully into my shopping bag. She said "I'll open the door for you," but there was a tall gentlemen and he said, "I'll open the door for her." I said "thank you" to both. But I wish to go further and recognize how grateful I was for this kind, thoughtful help.
I continued to walk until I came to the corner of Klondike Flower Shop, then the sidewalk narrowed, and I had slight difficulty balancing my walker. Like and angel from above, there stood a young gentleman who said, "I want to help you. How many I help you? Do you want me to get your walker into the roadway?" "Yes, please." Then a bit further, there was a speed bump and he came to help me get over it. Then he asked where I live. I told him where, but that I needed to go to the TD Bank first. He said," I will take you there, I'll bring my car around and then I will drive you home," which he did. He truly was my angel with a great big golden heart and helped me in my need. I want to say "thank you" once again as well to the clerk, the gentleman who opened the door and the taxi driver who took care of me. I needed to place this in the paper to recognie you all who possess so much caring and compassion for a senior like me. I am very appreciative of all the help I received from all of you. Thank you.
