Re: We must respect women in the change room, ( Gazette , Aug. 1). I feel you have not read Sheena Fulton’s letter fully, you just skimmed through. Nowhere did she say that anyone should allow kids to stare.

Respect, kindness and empathy – three words that encompass my existence as an educator, parent, spouse and citizen. I am extremely proud of being a person who lives by these three words, regardless of what situations I have encountered in my life.

Doris Wrench Eisler concludes her most recent letter to the editor ( Gazette , July 28) with the observation that “secular society has developed in opposition” to (I assume) “past religion-based abominations.

Re: Countdown lights ( Gazette letters, July 21). Pedestrian countdown lights are just that ... pedestrian use! Driver training teaches not to look at those if you are driving; they are not meant for cars.

It is not surprising that the issue of boys in the ladies’ change room has become an issue. With the ever-growing numbers of people using the pool, this was bound to happen.

On July 30, Jarome Iginla will officially retire from the NHL. Jarome was raised and played his entire minor-league career (not including major junior) in St. Albert.

Nowhere in the West are Christians prevented from attending their tax-exempt churches, or are they barred from working, going to university or entering any public establishment on the basis of their religion.
