St. Albert library spending and usage compared to other cities
As everyone is aware, during the last municipal election just under 64 per cent of voters were not in favour of any library expansion. It now appears that the St.

Kudos to city staffers for prompt courteous and knowledgeable service
A quick shout-out to City of St. Albert emergency sewer line responders Brendan and Anna this past Sunday morning. Living among the trees of Braeside has its advantages, but roots are not one of them.

Large diesel spewing buses should be replaced
I could not agree more with Peter Woolridge’s letter ( Gazette , June 16). Driving north through St. Albert on St. Albert Trail, one is almost guaranteed to hit six to eight red lights, or even more, filling our atmosphere with excess exhaust fumes.

Helpful neighbours are the cat's meow
I want to thank the people of St. Albert who called me about my orange cat, Billy, who has an ID tag – phone number, address. Thank you, all, and thank you, Michael, who returned him.

High school valedictorians impress
Thank you so much for publishing the excellent valedictorian addresses of the 2018 high school graduates (also in 2017). These speeches are by far the most inspirational material I have read in your fine prize-winning newspaper.
