I enjoyed your commentary on polite behaviour (July 16 column by Gazette publisher Brian Bachynski). I have often experienced indifference when paying for purchases and understand your reaction.

On July 12 my wife had a bad fall in the Safeway parking lot on Bellerose Drive and broke her wrist.

It does not happen too often, but I totally agree with the Gazette editorial (“Time to throw water on policy,” Wednesday, July 16). There are a couple of reasons. 1.

Thank you for your editorial of July 9 bringing awareness to the importance of unstructured play for young children. Play is essential to development because it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional well-being of children.

How would you feel if you were asked to work in another country doing jobs that the workers of that country did not apply for and then after you accepted and went to work there for two, three or even four years they changed the rules on you? Foreign

I would like to comment on “Pet owners of Sturgeon area, beware” from Dianne McDonald, in the July 12 Gazette. It is regretful that some cat owners are irresponsible where their pets are concerned (“that's what cats do”).
