“Commentary” articles by St. Albert writer David Haas are most often of interest on a variety of topics, which I enjoy. Regretfully, Mr. Haas’ article in the Gazette on Sept.

Nobody that you know ever wins! Sure there's a winner, but they are usually across the country and one person is swimming in $30 million, $40 million, or $50 million-plus jackpots! The lottery should be changed to multiple $1 million prizes only.

Sir, I read with amusement the recent correspondence in respect of the policing of school zones and other speed limits except that this matter is not actually funny.

I'm aware that the Scotiabank will be leaving Grandin Park Plaza Nov. 6. This would leave only SHAVA (Sturgeon Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer Association) Bookstore in the little bit of mall that's left.

First day of school and where does one find our photo radar set up? Not at the school zones where it was crazy with vehicles pulling in, pulling out, etc.

When I read Dave Taylor's letter regarding a speeding ticket (St. Albert Gazette, Aug. 26) I had to show the article to my husband. He also received a ticket on the same street, just after 5 p.m., but he was going 54, clearly a speeding ticket.

I want to pass on my hardy congratulations to our city council. On Monday night they moved forward to finalize the development of the Jensen Lakes subdivision for development.
