What have you done Brian McLeod but set off a firestorm? All these disparaging remarks (Gazette, Jan. 21) against our young, brilliant, beautiful prime minister? I loved it! And it was all true.

In response to Dave Merritt’s letter (Gazette, Jan. 25): It is wonderful to stand as proud Canadians, however, to truly be proud, we must be honest.

Anthropogenic global warming is real, but an insignificant driver of climate change. When we acknowledge that, most issues surrounding the myth that human activity is important in the ebb and flow of climate change goes away.

I was most interested in the observations of Jim Lightbody, University of Alberta Professor of Political Science, in the Saturday (01/21/17) edition of the St. Albert Gazette on the topic of Mayor Nolan Crouse’s political aspirations.

My congratulations to the photography club for the fantastic pictures shown in the paper (Gazette, Jan. 4). The high Island picture has a great composition, the lighting is pretty darn good but its impact is superb.

Congratulations to the Bellerose Soul Team for creating posters that denounce demeaning language. The team decided to print derogatory words students often use without fully understanding their meaning onto posters around the school.

Re: Norm Harley’s letter (Gazette, Jan 15). This reader can only take so much of Mr. Harley’s negativity towards this city. In the letter he writes about the turf football field in Riel being only one in Canada.
