Anthropogenic global warming is real, but an insignificant driver of climate change. When we acknowledge that, most issues surrounding the myth that human activity is important in the ebb and flow of climate change goes away. There is then no longer a need for taxing carbon to “fight” climate change.
The hubris associated with the notion that humans can “control/fight/battle” climate change is incredible, not unlike the story of the ancient king commanding the tide to stop coming ashore. There is no longer a need to demonize fossil fuels. There is no longer any sense in eco-warriors protesting pipelines. There is no longer a need to pour monies down the black hole of wind and solar subsidies. There is no longer a need for the irrational idea describing CO2 as “carbon pollution” rather, we acknowledge this molecule making up the “gas of life.”
Even those with little science education/understanding should be able to read the works of Dr. Tim Ball and Dr. Patrick Moore, two legitimate Canadian climate scientists. Dr. Ball was one of a group of scientists invited to a meeting on Capitol Hill where the audience included eight of the senior advisors to President-elect Trump's transition team, and was very well received. Dr. Ball has two books on these issues available online at amazon.ca in Kindle format. I have both. You, gentle reader, should too.
