The St. Albert Catholic High School alumnus was the low amateur and finished tied for second at the Alberta Open championship last week at the Carnmoney Golf & Country Club in Calgary. Saunders, 19, was minus-6 with a two-round total of 136. The Glendale Golf & Country Club member was one shot back of the winner, James Love of Calgary.
