Two matches in three days for the top division 3A women’s team in the Edmonton District Soccer Association kicks off today at the ESA Complex.

Game time is 10 a.m. between the St. Albert Impact (7-0) and last-place Wind LWA (0-7).

The Impact hosts second-place Crestwood (5-1-1) at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Riel Park.

Melanie Seidel is the team’s top scorer with six.

Monday’s division 1A match between the St. Albert Impact Rangers and Drillers kicks off at 8:15 p.m. at Riel Park.

The Rangers (5-1-2) share second place and the Drillers (4-3-1) are third in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

The Rangers are undefeated in four matches after their last win, 6-2 over Ajax SC (2-6) June 15.

Walie Aktary tallied twice and Marc Tetreau, Oscar Sanchez, Gio Morgulis and Miguel Sanchez also scored.

Mike Thompson ranks fourth in the division scoring race with six goals.

The second clean sheet in a row by keeper Charlotte Lendzion highlighted Tuesday’s scoreless draw between the St. Albert Impact premier women and the host Victoria Soccer Club.

Lendzion also shut out Angels Scottish SC 1-0 Sunday to stop a six-game Impact winless streak in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

The Impact (2-4-3) are eight points behind the Angels (5-2-2) and 12 back of second-place Victoria (6-0-3) in the premier table.

The Impact plays the last-place Ital/Inter/Wolves (0-8-1) at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Riel Park.

The Impact beat the Wolves 4-3 in the season opener on April 26.

The St. Albert Impact solidified their first-place ranking in the division 1B table with their third win in four matches in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

Alan Smith and Jeff Bruha scored in Wednesday’s 2-1 decision against last-place E & C United (1-6-2) at Riel Park.

Man of the match, Eric Archimowitz, was outstanding patrolling the midfield and Adam Pinco had another sharp outing in net for the Impact (6-2-1).

Smith and Noah Boyko are tied for second in the team’s scoring race with five goals apiece and are one back of Will Backhouse, the division leader with six.

The next match is July 8 against the Scona Blues (4-2-2) at 8:15 p.m. at the ESA Complex.

The 1-0 loss at Riel Park dropped the Impact’s record to 5-4-1 and the Classics improved to 3-4-2.

The goal was the fifth of the season for the Classics, the same number the Impact have surrendered in league play.

Sunday the Impact and Sherwood Park Phoenix (3-3-2) hook up at 4 p.m. at the ESA Complex.
