Re: Not very neighbourly block party We lived on Butterfield for almost 18 years until we moved out to B.C. this spring. I have also attended the block party every year that our friends hosted it.

Green city? I find it disturbing that St. Albert calls itself a green city. My taxes continue to rise while services decrease. It's garbage day, the day I look forward to every two weeks (ridiculous).

During our province’s measles outbreak, Alberta parents are learning more about the importance of immunization – to protect their child and to protect others. And now, they are learning more about the safety of these vaccines.

I would like to make an observation about the bus driver who was at the intersection of Hebert and Akins (heading onto Falstaff) on the morning of Sunday, June 8 2014 at approximately 9:30.

I am writing this letter in response to an event on Butterfield Cr. last Saturday evening, June 7. We have hosted block parties in past years with much success but not in recent events.

I love living in St. Albert, my second favourite city in Canada (Vancouver being my first favourite). St. Albert has a lot to offer a family if you’re willing to put up with high taxes and a nice downtown which could use less decorating stores.

Dearest St. Albertans, Are you tired of having your tax dollars spent on frivolous projects put forward by our city council? Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but our city is repeating its blundering budgeting bungles once again.

Alas, another sad change in St Albert. All of the food concessions run by the City of St Albert are going to be run by one of the HorBuck enterprises. Obviously it’s to do with money.

On May 30, 2014, I received two separate envelopes mailed from the City of St. Albert, each one containing a "2014 Property Assessment and Tax Notice" for the property and residence where I live.
