In reference to the letter of Mrs. Carole Clark in the July 1 Gazette, I could not agree more. She has been talking on behalf of the quiet majority and I feel the need to support her words.

A huge thank you to the City of St. Albert for promoting and supporting block parties. Mission Hill Grande held theirs on Sunday and more than 100 people came out to renew old acquaintances and make new ones.

Re: Louise Height’s letter (Water rate increase seems overstated, Gazette, July 1) about her water bill increase being $4.58 – about the cost of a latte. Please look at your January/February utility bill again.

Re: Bright ideas save energy (Gazette, July 1). According to satellite data, the earth has not gained any appreciable warming for the last 18 years. And in a Forbes magazine article by James Taylor on June 25 this year, the U.S.

My reasons for sending this letter is to ask for clarification regarding people using this recreation area as an off leash zone.

Re: "Abstinence-based sex education should be encouraged" (Gazette, Wednesday, June 24). I have some sympathy for letter writer Kenneth Skully.

I realize there are bigger problems in the world but I would still like to register my disappointment with the Grosvenor Pool.

“Cultivate Life,” a great brand for a city that has earned an enviable national presence and status for the quality of life it offers its citizens.

Let’s take a look at our city from the outside looking in. We have a dysfunctional city council where two members are trying to be fair and balanced with our tax dollars.
