Every spring after cocooning myself in a bundle of mitts, sweaters and the quintessential maple-leafed toque, I enjoy getting my hands in the dirt and experience its moist, cool, rich and refreshing life giving sensations.

I have lived on my acreage for 39 years, and for the most part have really enjoyed it. Unfortunately my happy times have ended in the last few years due to some of the new residents who seem to love loud noises.

The opinion piece, “Doing math on climate change,” in response to Kevin Ma’s “Bright ideas on lights,” St. Albert Gazette, July 1, 2015, contains numerous errors. My comments below are on a few of them.

In response to Susan Jenner’s letter: Sick of poo in pool (Gazette, July 4). Dear Susan Jenner, I cannot agree with you more. Trust me I have been working hard to get our city to recognize proper use of this pool.

As I read the letters to the editor in the Gazette each week, I am often impressed by the thoughtful and logical arguments put forward by many citizens in St. Albert.
