Let’s take a look at our city from the outside looking in.
We have a dysfunctional city council where two members are trying to be fair and balanced with our tax dollars.
We have one member who up and leaves his elected position to grab a higher salary in a position that he may or may not even be qualified for?
We have the remaining councillors clumped together supporting a mayor who disregards the checks and balances of city hall and has his own agenda.
We have a mayor and some council members who feel audits and accountability are a waste of time
We have skyrocketing taxes with very little to show for them.
We have undefined fees attached to essential services for projects that are not even proposed yet alone approved. (Is this even legal?)
We have little to no business growth to assist with costs.
What we have here ladies and gentlemen is a mess! If we keep going down the road the current city council is leading us this community will find itself broke in no time.
Ask yourself, if you are looking for a community to move your family to would you choose or even recommend St. Albert? Could you in all honesty say to your best friend, relative or even a stranger, move to St. Albert!
