It’s that time of year again: time to clean the salt, sand and dust off our filthy streets.

‘Council must be willing to ask tough questions’ view by Kristin Toms in Saturday, May 2, St. Albert Gazette was and is of such importance and urgency that it should have been the Front Page Headline Story, rather than on page 21.

Hello. I would like to share a copy of this letter I sent to St. Albert City Councillor Cathy Heron, regarding backyard chickens: My name is Christal, and I am writing to you about backyard chickens.

A report was presented to city council a couple of weeks ago that criticized the hiring of Gilles Prefontaine. In the report it claims that there were many improprieties in the hiring process and that it was completed in a questionable way.

The fact that the city's plan includes a $1.2-billion LRT line is proof of the lack of a rational planning and decision-making process in city governance. In industry, decisions must pass through a standard process.

Having witnessed city manager Patrick Draper’s response in a public council meeting on March 21 to our report detailing the hire of Gilles Prefontaine from council to chief community development officer, I have the following comments.

I am amazed that council is now negotiating with the swim club to get another lane at Fountain Park Pool! I am disappointed that the St. Albert Sailfish swim club has not really attempted to address the real issue in St.

I would like to express my opinion on the comments in the St. Albert Gazette e-paper. In the beginning I enjoyed reading these, as they appeared to be a debate on a subject from which I could learn more about a particular subject.

I express my heartfelt thanks to the St. Albert 911 operator who assisted me and the St. Albert firefighters who responded to the fire on 1 Edward Way. Your professionalism and compassion will not be forgotten.
