As a former owner of numerous dogs from boxers to a German shepherd, I would like to voice my support for the on-leash law and a chain-link fence for all off-leash dog areas. I would also like to disapprove of dogs permitted in the water in all St.

Response to Jared Milne “The Healing Garden is necessary” (Gazette, Oct. 5). The symbolism of a healing garden is important – agreed.

I completely agree with Abe Preisinger’s letter (Gazette, Oct. 8) concerning the traffic circle that took two years to waste some five-million dollars.

In response to Frank Piorkowski's letter (Gazette, Oct. 15) yes I understand the purpose of libraries.

So ... they are telling us that we no longer can access the one area where dogs can swim in St. Albert. And I get to pay for the actual fence.

I am a long term resident of St. Albert, recently retired from a long career providing strategic and tactical technology direction to governments, municipalities, industry and media.

Just read the Gazette (Oct. 1 issue) and to say I am chomping at the bit is an understatement. So, council has decided to fence the dogs in and it will not include the dog beach. Great planning.

Open letter to Mayor and City Council: I have just read the article in the Gazette (Oct. 1) regarding plans to construct a 500-metre chain link fence at Lacombe Park Lake at a cost of $65,000 and I am incensed.
