As a former owner of numerous dogs from boxers to a German shepherd, I would like to voice my support for the on-leash law and a chain-link fence for all off-leash dog areas.
I would also like to disapprove of dogs permitted in the water in all St. Albert parks. I was a victim of a serious dog bite as a youngster and one of my boxers had an ear bit off by an off-leash Doberman pinscher.
As a conservationist, I find it despicable that dogs should be allowed to disturb our wildlife.
