While it is usually amusing to watch Doris Wrench Eisler ( Gazette , March 7) spout off about Catholicism – inasmuch as it is amusing to see any ignorant person spout off with grave certainty all the things they believe in their ignorance – her lates

St. Albert’s city council recently ( Gazette , Feb. 10) voted to urge the federal government to introduce a new tax on “sugar-sweetened beverages” (pop) to help curb obesity.

As I scanned though the Gazette the other day on International Women's Day, I was some what dismayed. On almost every page was recognition of a career woman.

To preface my letter, I wish to state that I was a soldier in the Canadian Armed Forces for 34 ½ years and that I was honorably medically retired in March of 2013.

Why is there so much dog poop on our beautiful walking trails in St. Albert? I was out for a walk on a beautiful winter morning last week after walking the kids to school.

The estimated costs of replacing the BLESS platform are ridiculous. Far cheaper options are available that would meet the needs of the community and even improve the Big Lake experience.

About a decade ago, toxic financial assets, due to U.S. banking deregulation, dragged the world into recession. Unemployment spiked, investment vanished, and governments did what they could to absorb the shock.

I am trying to figure out who Councillor Wes Brodhead is championing with his support of a new electric usage franchise fee ( Gazette , Feb. 23).

I was almost swayed by Luke Fevin's attempt, in his ( Gazette , Feb. 10) letter, to portray himself and his Facebook advocacy group as an unbiased commentator on the issue of the Pregnancy Care Centre delivering content in a St. Albert public school.

Bravo Dana Popadynetz, I really appreciated your letter ( Gazette , Feb. 28).
