This is my response to a Luke Fevin letter that was published ( Gazette , Feb 10). I am a parent who allowed my child to take part in the Pregnancy Care Centre (PCC) presentation. Please note, I had to sign a waiver form for my child to participate.

With the passing of Mrs. Elke Blodgett, St. Albert has lost a person whose contributions as an artist and as an environmentalist were enormous. She was simply known as “Elke” – that was all you needed to know.

Jennifer Hamilton's commentary ( Gazette , Feb. 14) on the tragic death of Colton Boushie is heartening. It suggests youth will have a better relationship with First Nations people than some of my generation.

This letter is in reference to the Pregnancy Care Center article published ( Gazette , Jan. 31). I am very disappointed that the focus was on one side of the story.

Re: Gun shop theft ( Gazette , Feb. 10). Why didn't this business have some kind of security camera system? I see no mention of anything in your article only that the shop owner was considering upgrading his security system.

I just started reading today's issue ( Gazette , Feb. 10) about the Silver Skate Festival and was horrified and visibly shaken upon seeing the photograph of what looked like a dog (made of wooden materials) screaming as it was being burned.

I recently read two letters to the editor ( Gazette , Feb. 10) criticizing the RCMP, their request for additional members and the publication of their stats.

I recently read the story ( Gazette , Feb. 3) "Gone to the Dogs" about the Lacombe dog park.

In past years when I volunteered for a non profit society at a booth at the teachers convention, I had teachers come up to me from Edmonton Public junior high schools raving about the abstinence presentation their students had been given.
