I love Halloween. I love the community it creates.

This past week has seen an immediate and overwhelming support for a family subject to racially motivated violence and hatred in the Grandin Woods Estates community.

RE: Three Pot Shops Appealed The NIMBY (Not-In-My-Back-Yard) attitude of the residents working hard to drive legal businesses out of St. Albert is appalling. They are disregarding many important factors all for the sake of their own personal gain.

So, we are going to let Katrina Anderson bear the expense and upheaval of moving her family away from their current home out of fear, but the perpetrator(s) of this disgraceful, disgusting and extremely disturbing act of intimidation and threats gets

Re: Ken Allred’s opinionated commentary (“Minding our own business,” St. Albert Gazette , Aug. 11). I hope Mr. Allred had his fill of crow for Thanksgiving.

The three-minute idling bylaw shows how St. Albert city councillors have not enough knowledge on how some vehicles and citizens struggle in our Canadian winters.

My Métis half-uncle and I were quite surprised to learn of the racist letter demanding they move that the First Nations family in the St. Albert apartment complex received.

I am very upset about the racist incident that is reported to have happened in St. Albert. I hope appropriate legal steps are taken to confirm that this city will not tolerate such behaviour.

Regarding the article “Mayor slams pot plan” ( St. Albert Gazette , Oct. 17).

Re: “ Gazette reporter’s story on NAFTA hits the bull’s eye” by Bob Russell (Your Views, Oct. 6). Bob Russell could use a lesson in English. His sentence beginning, “Western Canadian provinces” is plural.
