With 465 houses and condos for sale on MLS and 56 on ComFree, plus all the rest for sale by owner and 53 places to rent in the Gazette in a city of 60,000, that’s a huge number of homes for sale and to rent.

Cory Hare wrote a story in the Oct. 23 Gazette entitled ‘Church group applauds Habitat project.’ I requested a meeting with the ministers.

There seems to be a stunning lack of accountability by the Hon. MLA for Calgary-Cross, Minister of Children and Youth Services Yvonne Fritz.

On Oct. 7 my wife was operated on for an aneurysm. The overall planning and care at the University Hospital was exceptional. It took a month of preparation with five-day visits for various investigative tests.

After reading a recent negative letter to the editor about Servus Place, I felt compelled to present another view. We recently moved from a private gym to Servus Credit Union Place. I am a senior. My wife and I could not be happier with our move.

I was quite disappointed to get our Wednesday Gazette to discover there was no reference to Remembrance Day services on the front page.

It is not possible to thank our veterans enough. This former Dutchman is always reminded on Nov. 11 that it was mostly Canadians who liberated Holland. I was born after the Second World War so there is no personal recollection of this conflict.

A few weeks before my son finished high school, I dreamed he died. It was a terrifying dream, but it didn't take long to decipher its meaning. You see, my son has autism.
