There seems to be a stunning lack of accountability by the Hon. MLA for Calgary-Cross, Minister of Children and Youth Services Yvonne Fritz.
It is, in my humble opinion, intolerable that there is no real lack of administrative oversight in terms of day care and day home recordkeeping. Since Her Majesty's Government and the department in charge are not doing anything about this situation, I suggest that retired and/or active duty day care overseers be appointed for four sector grids across the province — northwest, northeast, southwest and southeast.
Make sure these overseers have some basic accounting training as well. In this way they can go in and assess not just the quality of the books in each day care and each day home, but make pointed suggestions to improve overall daily operations immediately.
No middleman, no bureaucratic red tape getting in the way.
