Random Acts of Kindness exist in St. Albert and I feel we need to share. A young male adult maybe around 17 years of age was so kind to offer two ladies assistance while shovelling that terrible heavy snow on March 22.

Closing Villeneuve Road is a safety hazard
The most important reason to keep Villeneuve Road open is safety. Closing Villeneuve will only force all that traffic onto other neighbourhood streets, roads like Dennison, Deer Ridge and Hogan Road.

Destruction of ancient St. Albert 100-year-old trees
Some cities build roads around or over trees. Here in St. Albert, the Botanical City, we bulldoze straight through trees, taking them out, to build a road, the St. Anne Street extension.

Rules at Servus Place need review
Children under the age of eight are not permitted on the track at Servus Place unless they are in a stroller. Given that the place bubbles over with families and activity this is surprising.

Don't forget other emergency services
STARS Air Ambulance receives money from the Province of Alberta in exactly the same way that Alberta Ground Ambulance does. STARS gets three quarters of its funding from donations. That makes them a charity, I guess.
