There has been much discussion surrounding St. Albert city council’s decision to remove municipal sustainability initiative (MSI) grants from subsidizing utilities of the city.

I read the City of St. Albert Strategic Plan 2015 several times. The one that leaps out at me is "Outcome: Cultivate Excellence in Government." "A responsive, accountable government that delivers value to the community." No.

Re: "Wake up and wait". What a frighteningly deceptive letter regarding the Pregnancy Care Centre (PCC) and its "Wait! Let's talk sex" program.

Just a short note to the person who took the time out of their lovely Sunday to rip down all my Christmas lights. I had to pay to put them up in the fall, and as a senior unable to walk, left them up. I do not annoy my neighbours by turning them on.

The sport of lacrosse, our national sport, has long flourished in St. Albert. Our son played and I coached teams in St. Albert. One year, we were accepted to the national playoffs in Surrey, B.C.

To those gentle readers that bemoan the passing of the PC government, let us ask them to explain why Alberta with all of its resources is billions in debt after they had 44 years of absolute power.

So, the chickens are coming home to roost. Five months ago, in two letters to the editor, I warned the citizens of St. Albert of the consequences of city council's decision to raise utility rates by 20 per cent, and my warnings fell on deaf ears.

This letter is to all the mothers who deliver and pick up their children daily to and from Leo Nickerson School and you know who you are.

Mr. Mayor, it's unusual that you have at least acknowledged my email of May sixth regarding the city manager and his apparent lack of trust to convey confidential information to you (the hiring of former councillor Gilles Prefontaine).

On Thursday, May 14, I was had finished shopping at Walmart around 5:00 p.m. I was in a bit of a rush to get home, and in my hurry, and also absent-mindedly, left my purse in the shopping cart when I returned it at the cart centre.
