On Thursday, May 14, I was had finished shopping at Walmart around 5:00 p.m. I was in a bit of a rush to get home, and in my hurry, and also absent-mindedly, left my purse in the shopping cart when I returned it at the cart centre. I had hardly driven for another few minutes, when I noticed the purse missing from the passenger seat where it always sits.
I turned around and frantically returned to Walmart, checked through all the cart centres nearest to where I had parked earlier. No sign of my purse. Desperately hoping it had been turned into the store, I asked at customer service. My cellphone was also in that purse, and the usual important credit cards, ID, etc.
I came home in a terrible state and called the St Albert RCMP, who kindly took down my information. I was in the middle of cancelling a card, when the RCMP station called to say it had been handed in there. I picked it up and wanted my finder's contact to thank the person personally. Apparently, it couldn't be done.
But I do so want to thank this person whose goodness and kindness brought such relief to me and my family. Wish there are more wonderful people like you in the world, and I am so very grateful to you. Believe me, if I could find you, I'd come to your door.
