There has been significant interest and public dialogue about the campaign for a branch library and I would like to thank St. Albertans for their engagement and support.

Have we lost track of all decency in this community? When does the last election end and this city start to have leaders who direct it rather than throw out insults. After reading this last edition (Oct. 18) of the Gazette, I am perplexed.

To the party responsible: A few years ago a small sapling was planted in the park behind our house, among other trees.

I can find nothing in the democratic construct that supports discouraging the electorate from contacting an elected official.

Mr. Sinkler's letter of Saturday, Oct. 31 regarding the fake brickwork being added to the foot bridge over St. Albert Trail has hit the nail right square on the head.

Thank you, Linda Moffatt and the chamber of commerce, for your admonishment of St. Albert City Council. You put into words what so many of us have been thinking, and expressing. We are indeed embarrassed by the childish goings-on in City Hall.

In the Nov. 14 edition of the St. Albert Gazette, there was an article about restoring the cost of a monument that used to be located in front of the St. Albert Legion. This monument is the shell of a 1950-era plane.
