Dear Reader, It took about two years to create me. From an idea came letters that formed words then sentences; paragraphs led to chapters and the ?nished product became a book.

Until you have watched a loved one wait and wait for a hip replacement, you can't know what it truly means when you hear someone talk about the long wait times to receive a hip or knee replacement.

Dear Mr. Crouse, I am a Grade 8 student, I want to tell you about all the traffic that there is in St. Albert. Sometimes when my mom wants to drive me to school or practice or the gym, the traffic lights have made me late.

Wow! A possible doubling to the cost of major sewer Project 9. This is not a small amount, this is a possibility of getting close to $30 million.

Re: SHAVA needs new home, Gazette, Oct. 21). I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who provide their service and smiles in the operation of the SHAVA (Sturgeon Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer Association) bookstore.

Just saw the headline on the front page of the Oct. 31 edition of the Gazette, and then I saw red. I apologize as I did not read the article, because I refuse to listen to anything that Mr. Russell has to say.

Well the time has finally come for me to write this letter. I have listened to all the people who think they had the first food truck in St. Albert. I hate to burst your bubble but we had a food truck 30 years ago when our kids were young teenagers.

Although perhaps time for change in government anyway, I nevertheless think Canada's "first-past-the-post" system is almost a contradiction of democracy – where less than 40 per cent of the vote can form a majority government.

Why did the chicken cross the road? To embrace St Albert’s agricultural roots! There may be some uproar about Coun. Cathy Heron’s proposal to make urban hens a reality in St Albert, and to be sure, there are details to address.

I consider myself an eternal pessimist so I can't say I was surprised when I read that city administration has recommended delaying a much needed branch library for yet another year from the capital budget.
