St. Albert's Council made one of the biggest and best decisions in years by deciding to borrow $62 million for the development of the Lakeview Business District.

Why doesn't the city poll the citizens (taxpayers in Grandin) to see if they want the name changed? Instead of making that decision for them, actually listen to the residents.

Mr. Sanderson, my heart goes out to you. The parents of those two young children should have thanked you instead of yelling at you. A few years ago, my friend and I witnessed a 13-year-old on a bike get hit at a crosswalk, and he sadly died.

RE: Recognition lights cost double As usual city council wants to spend money on another frivolous item to try and glorify the city hall and area. How about you spend this on infrastructure (the main roads in the city are in terrible shape).

On a daily basis, I am amazed by the kindness of strangers. I am awaiting a hip replacement and that means I deal with pain on a daily basis. Our local grocery stores have motorized scooters available, which make shopping less stressful.

Summer is winding down in Canada, and many people are coming back from trips to foreign countries like the U.S., Mexico or France.

I feel that it is worth noting where the three federal political parties held their pre-parliamentary caucus meeting this week in preparation for the fall session of the House of Commons..

Early spring is a dreary time. Waiting for your special perennials seems to take forever. There are flowers that flower in March. Plant alliums, daffodils, tulips, and snowdrops in the fall and enjoy their beautiful flowers in the spring.
