I am a resident of St. Albert and a regular user of the walking path from Lacombe Dog Park to the retaining pond. I walk this route with my dog three to four times daily and am increasingly concerned about the ongoing issue of dog waste being left behind by some dog owners.
Despite the efforts of many responsible pet owners, there are still those who neglect to pick up after their pets. This not only creates an unsightly mess but also poses health risks and diminishes everyone's enjoyment of this beautiful area. With winter upon us and spring not far behind, the accumulation of dog waste will only worsen, leading to an even more unpleasant environment.
I urge all dog owners in our community to be more vigilant and considerate. Let’s work together to keep our walking paths clean and safe for everyone. Please, pick up after your dogs. A little responsibility goes a long way in preserving the beauty of our community.
