The last match before the playoffs for the U21 Dolphins kicks off tonight at 7 p.m. against the Strathcona Druids at the St. Albert Rugby Football Club.

The Sir George Simpson Triathlon celebrates its 25th anniversary this morning, starting at 9 a.m. at Grosvenor Pool.

Rainmaker tournament The St. Albert Junior Cardinals will host the third annual Rainmaker Rodeo Baseball Tournament from May 27 to 29 at Legion Memorial Park. Eight teams are entered in the tournament.

The St. Albert Impact 3 men suffered a difficult loss on Tuesday night. Impact was unable to find the back of the net against the Fiji Youths, who kicked in three goals to win the game with a shutout.

Gymnastics The 2016 Canadian Gymnastics Championships will take place at the Butterdome on May 31 until June 4. Marisa Dick of St. Albert will attend the event.

The St. Albert Minor Baseball Association’s annual Early Bird Tournament was cancelled due to rain on the weekend. The call to cancel the tournament was made early Friday morning.

The annual St. Albert Challenge track meet is quickly approaching. The Mustangs of the St. Albert Track and Field Club will play host to competitors at the meet on May 28 and 29 at Fowler Athletic Park.

The Paul Kane Blues will take on the Bev Facey Falcons on Thursday’s division one women’s final at Pirates Rugby Club. Kickoff will be at 4:45 p.m. on field 1. The Falcons have been champions at the last four finals.

The Victoria Day Classic soccer tournament charged on through the rain over the weekend. But due to weather conditions, some unplanned changes were made in the tournament schedule this year.

Alicia Easthope of the Sandpiper Golf & Country Club carded a second-place score at the Maple Leaf Junior Golf tour stop last weekend in Carstairs.
