CDMFA playoffs The Capital District Minor Football Association semifinals kick-off this weekend at Fuhr Sports Park.

Slash at home The St. Albert Slash host the Edmonton Pandas today in the Alberta Female Hockey League. Puck drop is 2:15 p.m. at Go Auto Arena. The Slash (3-1) beat the Pandas (0-4-1) twice this month by scores of 5-1 and 4-1.

The St. Albert High Skyhawks are pounding their chests with pride over the football season so far.

Merchants lose The third loss in a row and the fourth in five games for the St. Albert Merchants was Wednesday’s 5-1 result against the North Edmonton Red Wings.
