The St. Albert Tire Warehouse Raiders continue their seven-game homestand this weekend in the Alberta Midget AAA Hockey League.
The Raiders play the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers (3-6) today at 1:45 p.m. and the Airdrie Bisons (3-5) Sunday at 1:15 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.
The Raiders (3-5) are 2-2 on home ice after Sunday’s 2-1 win over the Canadian Athletic Club (2-5-1) ended a five-game losing streak.
Eddie Gallagher is the top scorer on the Raiders with eight points and Jacob Charko is the team leader in goals with four.
Next weekend, the Raiders host the AMHL’s Showcase Extravaganza at Servus Credit Union Place.
The Raiders face-off against the Okotoks Oilers (4-2-2) Nov. 4 at 7:15 p.m. and Red Deer Chiefs (3-2-3) Nov. 5 at 4:15 p.m. and both games are at Go Auto Arena.

Sabres game
The St. Albert Gregg Distributors Sabres are back on the ice for two games in a row at Akinsdale Arena.
Puck drop is 10:45 a.m. Sunday against the Calgary Northstars and 6:45 p.m. Monday against the Sherwood Park Flyers (4-4).
In the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League, the Sabres (6-2-2) and Flyers (4-4) are first and third, respectively in the nitro north division and the Northstars (5-5-1) are third in the challenger south division.
The Sabres are coming off Monday’s 4-1 loss to CAC Lehigh Cement in St. Albert.
Tyson Greenway’s team-high 10th goal opened the scoring in the first period.
The CAC (6-3), second in the nitro standings, made it 2-1 on the power play in the second and the fourth goal was a shorthanded effort in the third.
Shots were 43-15 for the Sabres and Carson Ironside (1-2-1, 2.73 GAA) was in net.
Dylan Leslie, Palmer Strang and Ethan Sundar share the team lead in points with 14 apiece.
Volleyball playoffs
The metro Edmonton high school volleyball playoffs swing into action next week.
The junior and senior men’s and women’s finals are Nov. 6 to 8 at Jasper Place High School.
