Evacuation order issued for Leduc County

An emergency alert went out around 4 p.m. telling residents to leave their homes and bring enough supplies for three days.

Some areas of Leduc County are under evacuation order due to a wildfire that broke out on Tuesday afteroon. 

At around 1:30 p.m. a fire sparked in the region and by 4 p.m. an emergency alert went out, telling residents to flee, as winds picked up and started pushing the fire toward homes in the area. 

The fire is burning on Range Road 24 between Township Roads 474 and 475, east of  Breton

The emergency alert told residents to leave immediately and bring enough supplied for three days.
