The Grandin neighbourhood name may not officially be changing until Monday, but crews were out getting ahead on some of the work ahead of the long weekend.

St. Albert crews were out on Aug. 28, changing the street signs at the intersection of St. Anne Street and Grandin Road – which now reads Garden Road. The Grandin Clubhouse sign has also been changed, reading as the Garden Clubhouse. Other road signs will be changed on Aug. 29.

This is among other preparations the city has been undertaking in the last few weeks, such as the name for transit stops in Google Maps.

The Grandin neighbourhood will officially be known as the Gardens on Sept. 1.
