Two St. Albert teenagers were taken to hospital with stab wounds after Mounties were called to a Riverside home for a report of an assault on Thursday night.

Two St. Albert teenagers were taken to hospital with stab wounds after Mounties were called to a Riverside home for a report of an assault on Thursday night, RCMP say.

“On July 18, 2024, at approximately 10 p.m., St. Albert RCMP responded to a residence in Riverside regarding an assault that had occurred,” reads St. Albert RCMP news release. “When RCMP members arrived, they located a 17-year-old female and 13-year-old female, both suffering from multiple stab wounds.”

The two teens were taken to a hospital in Edmonton, RCMP say.

“St. Albert RCMP are in the early stages of their investigation but want to assure the community that this was an isolated incident, and that all individuals are known to each other.”

The release does not say if any arrests were made or if any charges have been laid.

“More information will be provided when it becomes available.
