An AMBER Alert issued across Alberta on Saturday afternoon has been cancelled after police confirmed a missing child was located.

The Edmonton Police Service issued the alert at 4 p.m., reporting that two-year-old Aurora Alexis had been taken from the area of 106 Street and 31 Avenue. Investigators believed she was with 6-foot, stocky-built Leonard Willier, who fled the scene in a 2018 white Toyota Tundra with Saskatchewan licence plate 786 JBH.

The alert was broadcast province-wide just before 5 p.m., but police cancelled it at 5:32 p.m., saying the child had been found.

Police have not released details on where Aurora was located or whether Willier remains in custody.

The Edmonton Police Service thanked the public for their assistance and urged residents to continue following local media for updates.
