UPDATE: The AMBER Albert has been cancelled and the 2-year-old girl has been found safe.
The Edmonton Police Service has issued an AMBER Alert after a 2-year-old girl was taken from the city’s south side Saturday afternoon.
Police say Aurora Alexis, who has brown hair and brown eyes, was taken around 4 p.m. from the area of 106 Street and 31 Avenue. Investigators believe she was taken by 6-foot, stocky-built Leonard Willier.
The pair may be travelling in a 2018 white Toyota Tundra with Saskatchewan licence plate 786 JBH. Police say there may be additional occupants in the vehicle.
The AMBER Alert is in effect across Alberta.
Authorities are urging the public not to approach Willier if spotted. Instead, anyone with information or sightings of the vehicle is asked to call 911 or contact local law enforcement immediately.
Police say updates will be provided as they become available.
