We moved to Erin Ridge this year and were surprised to see that most of Ted Hole Park is an unfenced off-leash area, even though it has several exits onto busy Erin Ridge Drive.

To some of the dog owners in St. Albert, I get it. Picking up after your dog is icky and unpleasant. If you are one of those who leave it behind, know that it is also icky and unpleasant if one steps on your dog poop.

I would like to know who or what was the driver for this initiative. As far as I am aware, the memorials that are in place were dedicated either by family or staff who were close to the person, as is the case for the two staff trees at Ronald Harvey.

This is in response to the article by Kevin Ma, Aug. 31 edition.I believe we should have memorials of all genres in our schools, parks and public places. They can promote awareness, foster discussion and help those affected to process and heal.

I was very disappointed to learn about St. Albert Public Schools' decision to remove scholarship plaques that memorialize their sponsors.

On the morning of Aug. 17 while walking in St. Albert's beautiful river valley, for my regular walk, I fell. I was pretty beaten up, with the worst of my injuries being a fractured clavicle.

The recent article in the St. Albert Gazette about MLA Dale Nally's hydrogen mandate deserves a comment.

I wonder if council understands their purpose and mandate when I see them effectively doubling the size of council by arbitrarily making themselves full time staff.

Albertans are starting to see the intended results of the UCP's Red Tape Reduction policies. While the UCP are selling Albertans the fairy tale of moving at the speed of business, the reality is something far different.

Drivers racing through Ebony Way in Erin Ridge seem to forget that families with kids and dogs live there. Living there is like living along the Trans-Canada Highway – and that roundabout at Coal Mine Road has only made it worse.
