MERRY CHRISTMAS!
For the past 12 days we've been publishing the 12 Days of Christmas Kindness where we celebrate a local person who does good for others and do some good to them!
They've been so well received that we wanted to make sure everyone got a chance to see all of them - so we're publishing them again one each day for the official 12 Days of Christmas - enjoy!
Our very first recipient was Derrick White, who was nominated by his friend and neighbour Kevin Malinowski. Here's some of what Kevin had to say about Derrick in his nomination:
"Derrick has been a fixture in our neighbourhood for years. Never saying no to anyone that asks for help. He invests his time in the seniors in our neighbourhood that have no one else. This may be driving them back and forth to doctor’s appointments or shopping for groceries. He thinks nothing of running a quick errand for anyone else.

"Everyone on the crescent knows who Derrick is and none have a single bad word to say about him. The down side, is that because Derrick gives so much of himself, he has been taken advantage of. He has the heart that so many of us can only wish for."
