I found the views by Elizabeth Allchin ( Gazette , Dec.27) to be both concerning and disappointing in regards to public programs at the St. Albert Public Library.

I took my four-year-old and eight-year-old to Seven Hills on Tuesday night. One of our tubes ripped first run. Bummer. There was a family standing next us when this happened and their daughter just walked over and handed us her tube to use.

In the Dec. 27, 2017 Gazette there is an article about the Critical Mass Brewing closing in St. Albert.

Well just to let you in on a little bit about myself, I have been a salesmen for the past 38 years so I do know a little bit about what I am going to write about today.

I read with great interest that the city of St. Albert is working to replace the BLESS platform overlooking Big Lake ( Gazette , Dec 16). As a weekend bike rider, I often ride out and circle the platform for my return trip home.

I would like to address the callous thieves who uprooted the little spruce trees from the front of the St. Albert Legion. These trees were planted to provide a pleasing outdoor decor for the many veterans, their families, members and guests.

We would like to thank all those who contributed to the success of our annual Christmas lights and display on Elliot Place in December.

Missy Claus and Santa (on the St. Albert pedestrian bridge) wish to express a big heartfelt thank you to all of the wonderful folks who braved the chilly Christmas Eve weather to donate clothing and toiletries to the Hope Mission.

My family and I had the privilege of volunteering to deliver hampers this Christmas for the St Albert Kinettes. It was a highly enjoyable experience, and one I will continue to participate in.

On Monday, Dec. 11, four members of city council voted to allow an 80-unit building to go up on one of the oldest forested sites in St. Albert.
