I would like to address the callous thieves who uprooted the little spruce trees from the front of the St. Albert Legion. These trees were planted to provide a pleasing outdoor decor for the many veterans, their families, members and guests. This was a very cowardly and childish act, and you should be ashamed of yourselves.
This is the second time this year precious plants were taken without asking. During the summer you ripped out the Canada 150 rose bush which was donated by the City of St. Albert in honour of those who served and are still serving to keep our country safe.
Your malicious act puts a damper on our veterans' spirits this season. I hope you received nothing but coal as your gift this Christmas. You have no respect for anyone or anything. Remember, what goes around, comes around.
