Landmark Cinemas debuts Premiere Seats in St Albert following success in Edmonton

The world around you is rich with sounds and details, laughter and music. However, if your hearing is damaged, you are missing out. It’s no big deal…right? Actually, it is. What may seem like a minor annoyance in a crowded room when you can’t hear the conversations, or having to ask your spouse to repeat themselves frequently, is a much bigger issue than most realize.

Originally aimed at single seniors (which still make up the largest attendees, even though it is now open to all), Minus One is where you can join a dance community – no partner needed. Old-time music played on violins, accordions and guitars accompany dancers through the polka, two-step and waltz. A mixer dance is included where men line up on one side and women on the other. Dancers meet in the middle and dance with whomever their partner turns out to be. Great fun!

After two years of virtual offerings and limited on-site visits, the Alberta Aviation Museum is thrilled to be offering summer camps again. With a focus on showcasing and preserving the region’s rich aviation history, these camps truly allow the imaginations of school-aged youth take flight.

In February of this year, the Canadian Energy Museum (formerly the Leduc #1 Energy Discovery Centre) celebrated 75 years since its official production began. A National Historic Site, the Imperial Oil well marked a turning point in the history of Alberta’s petroleum industry.
