One in three Canadian children are on the sidelines due to the costs of organized sports. Since 1993, KidSport has helped underserviced children access sports by providing grants. Now, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF), KidSport Albert and Sport Central have teamed up to offer the most ambition program yet. It’s called the Oil Country Hockey Assist Program (HAP)

For some, hearing loss means struggling to hear background noise. For others, it is being nearly completely shut out from the sounds around them. For many, help is available. It is a matter of reaching out to reconnect with the world.

Whether occasional hearing support is needed, or severe loss is experienced, there is a comfortable, discreet option on the market. If you can wear ear buds or headphones, a hearing aid should not be a problem.

Olson says, “We highly promote buying a membership as members are covered under the AG Society. It’s very affordable and allows you to ride through winter in the covered arena. If you are training as a barrel racer, for example, you could practice comfortably and under our liability policy (with a membership) – indoors no matter if outside it is raining, snowing or the sun is beating down.” That kind of value is truly hard to beat.
