Mathieu Gautier of the St. Albert Midget A Zone Rams was selected by Team Alberta for the midget lacrosse national championship, Aug. 6 to 12 in Whitby, Ont. The 18-player roster consists of players born in 2002 and 2001.

The St. Albert Junior Cardinals bring their winning record in the North Central Alberta Baseball League to Camrose on Friday night. The first pitch is 7:15 p.m. against the Axemen (3-6).

The St. Albert Cardinals gave it their best shot but missed the mark at the St. Albert Tigers Tournament. The 17-3 Norwest Midget AAA Baseball League team is 22-10 overall after losing all three games in the Waples division.
